Bay Pines National Cemetery Commemoration Event

9:00 AM – 10:00 AM

On June 6th at 9:00 AM, the Rough Riders will conduct a graveside commemoration for two Spanish-American War soldiers at Bay Pines National Cemetery.

We will commemorate:

• Private Herbert P. McGregor of the 1st U.S. Volunteer Cavalry Regiment (Rough Riders)

• Private John Moor of the 9th U.S. Cavalry (Buffalo Soldiers)

Performers acting as Teddy and Edith Roosevelt will provide a performance. We will also conduct a wreath-laying ceremony and play taps to honor these two soldiers.

This will be a uniformed event to honor the memory of these fallen soldiers.

We plan to take the trolley so members may join us at the clubhouse and ride over together. Spouses or significant others are welcome to attend; however, they must sign a waiver before leaving the clubhouse.
