It is that time of year again – the Membership Renewal cycle. This year the Membership renewal timeframe is 1 May through 30 June. Dues will be considered late after 30 June. The application window for new members is also 1 May through 30 June.

The intent this year is to maximize the opportunity to process membership forms and dues payments electronically. To access the renewal forms, please go the webpage. Go to “Members” on the navigation bar. The first entry under “Members” are the forms for 2024-2025 renewals and new membership application. Please take advantage of the electronic renewal and payment system if practical. (There will also be paper forms available in the office for walk-ins.)

For your convenience a copy of the current Standing Rules is attached. Standing Rule 1 is Membership.

DeSoto Grand Parade 2024

Sat, April 27, 2024, 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM @ Bradenton, FL

NOTE:  This parade is for Rough Riders and 1 guest (wives and SO's).

  • 2:00pm - Muster at the Clubhouse for shuttle service to staging
  • 3:00pm - Bus departs clubhouse.  Sign-up for transportation HERE
  • 4:00pm - Bus arrives in staging
  • 6:30pm - Safety meeting with OIC’s and parade marshals
  • 7:15pm - National Anthem is played
  • 7:30pm - Parade steps off
  • 9:30pm - End-of-Parade
    • Bus from Tampa will pick up those RRs that rode down on the bus and return to clubhouse
    • The TR and Lil Tex will return directly to the clubhouse for Post-Parade Processing ***No Riders Allowed***

Though “White House” had been used informally before, Theodore Roosevelt was the one to formalize the name in 1901.

B) Which state has produced the most US presidents?

Eight presidents have been born in Virginia, including George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Woodrow Wilson. Also born there were Zachary Taylor, John Tyler, William Henry Harrison, James Monroe and James Madison.

C) Who was the only president to leave the White House and return for a second term four years later?

Grover Cleveland was the 22nd and 24th President of the United States. He lost his bid for re-election to Benjamin Harrison in 1888 but ran again and was elected in 1892.

     Rough Riders Golf Krew Cup Challenge

    Donate a gift basket with a value of $250 to $350 for the annual Rough Riders Charity Golf Tournament. We will auction off all baskets at the event, and the basket that sells for the highest price will win free admission for their krewe at the 2025 Saint Patrick’s Day parade. **

    Each Year we have baskets with many themes:
